Much of the work completed this week is focused on tile. Here’s the latest photo of the mosaic on the wall behind the soaking tub. Harry is in the middle of installing the grout (at the top of the wall.) You can see the difference here that the grout makes: a striking contrast between the blue and the off-white and a natural, elegant look. We can’t wait to see what it looks like when it’s finished!
The original plan for the rest of the bathroom tile was to install a sandy-beige porcelain tile, floor-to-ceiling to the end of the large shower. But the customer liked it so much that they wanted to extend it to the bathroom doorway – and now, from floor to ceiling in the whole room! The second photo shows the tile so far. We’re waiting for the additional tile to come in so we can complete it. In the meantime, the previously installed colonial trim didn’t fit the new look, so our other lead technician, Pat, installed new minimalist trim around the bathroom door and window.
